La Magnanerie is a perfect example of the silk factories that made Lebanon famous for sericulture in the 19th century. The factory suffered from the decline of sericulture in the area and stopped all production before World War II. It was acquired by the Ghanem family in the 1970’s.

In 2011, Michele Ghanem, who grew up in France and worked in e-marketing for luxury groups such as Chanel, BPI and LVMH, decided to return home to Lebanon and bring La Magnanerie back to life.

All the know-how and sense of excellence she acquired during the many years she worked for some of the greatest high-end brands is now in the service of this spectacular venue.

The Venue has been progressively refurbished and rented out for special events and celebrations.
